IKEN is dedicated to providing a platform for educators, students, and parents to engage in the Korean Dual Language program and Korean language classes in public/private schools across the United States. Our mission is to support the next generation of Korean heritage students in mastering the Korean language, culture, and identity, while also offering non-Korean students the opportunity to appreciate and understand the richness of Korean culture. Through collaboration with educators and parents, IKEN aims to establish the Advanced Placement (AP) Korean Language in U.S. high schools, promoting linguistic and cultural understanding on a global scale. Our platform facilitates the sharing of valuable resources, lessons, and materials for Korean language and cultural content, fostering a network of dedicated educators and professionals committed to promoting Korean education for future generations.
IKEN is committed to fostering a strong and supportive network for educators, students, and parents involved in the Korean Dual Language program and Korean language classes in public/private schools in the United States. Our organization is focused on promoting early language education and has developed Korean Online Contents (K-12th level) that align with Common Core State Standards and Korean National Standards. We actively engage parents as partners in advocating for the inclusion of Advanced Placement (AP) Korean Language in U.S. high schools. IKEN educators are dedicated to empowering second generation Korean heritage students to achieve fluency in the Korean language, embrace Korean culture, and develop a strong sense of identity. Additionally, we provide non-Korean students with diverse opportunities to immerse themselves in and appreciate Korean culture. Through the IKEN platform, educators share valuable lessons and materials for Korean language and cultural content, contributing to a global network of educators and professionals committed to promoting Korean education for future generations.
